Happy Diwali
It is Diwali and we wanted to say Happy Diwali to Bukit Timah Primary School in Singapore.
Ridley: We were celebrating saying thank you to god and reading a special note. We put flowers, milk and money into the pot. We light candles because it is the festival of lights.
"This is me at Rongatai school celebrating Diwali. We did some performances. People did dances and people sang. Some people did a play and most of it was in Hindi and Bengali. The clothes are traditional Indian clothes. I wore a sari for one of the days".
Please add anything that you have learnt in the Padlet below:

Bukit Timah School chat with Worser Bay School
We did a video call with Bukit Timah Primary School on the 15th of October. Nicola went to visit this school last term!
They asked a lot of questions and we asked a lot of questions. They answered a lot of questions and we answered a lot of questions. They have around 900 pupils and they have 20ish pupils in a class.

Singapore does have a few lightning storms because they have a very hot climate so most of them wear shorts or skirts.
They asked us if our teachers are fierce. We told them that our teachers are funny.
You might think it is an old school because they do have lots of desks.
They speak Tamil, English, Malay and Chinese and a lot of other different languges .
We enjoyed our video call with Bukit Timah School and we look forward to doing it again soon.

Kia ora from Room 6 at Sunnyhills
Hi there Bukhit Timah and Worser Bay Primary School,
We are year 5 and 6 class at Sunnyhills School. We are in East Auckland, New Zealand. There are 29 nine of us. We LOVE learning and of course having fun! We are excited to be able to share our learning through this blog and comment on your posts too! Miss Coffer has been telling us all about Singapore and we all want to come live there now.
Here is a slideshow introduction of us. Look at the slide, have a read and learn a little bit about each of us!
Miss Coffer has been telling us about Singapore's National Celebration Day and how you celebrated Singapore's 51st birthday. We had a listen of the 2016 theme song and learnt it. We also put some actions to it as well. Check out the video below, tells us what

Lastly this slideshow below has the answers to the questions Mrs Ong's class asked us:
We are looking forward to connecting with you all!

Message from Chris
Dear Bukit Timah Students,
My name is Chris and I am 6 years old. I go to Worser Bay School. One of my teachers came to see you last week. Her name is Nicola. She told us all about her trip and meeting you.
I will be travelling to Singapore in my next school holidays. Please can you recommend some fun things for me to do with my family while I am there. I like the idea of going to the night zoo and Lego Land. How long does it take to get to Lego land from Singapore?
I look forward to hearing from you.
From Chris
